AWESOME NFC NORTH
the 2010 season is here.
Contact me at wcom for an invite.
Welcome Aboard ! We are back for our 8th straight season of defensive style action. Since I was primarily a defensive coach and a defensive style of coach while I was head coaching, I cannot stand to go through an entire year without playing at least some decent fantasy D ball during my physical setbacks. There are some super fellow players here this year who have offered to take over as commissioner for me during my series of spinal operations which will probably be mid-season. So, we can go ahead and continue our tradition!!! YEA! Thanks Guys! This year we must drop the pay ins for any type of prize league and keep things simple. Although I will reward our league champ again with a NFL Tshirt. For 2nd thru 5th maybe you guys can think of something. I am also cutting out the commish's cigar awards (too much work). But hey it'll be fun, we've got some better software this year and some really good people playing with us! So go ahead and sign in and let's play some ball!

OLD NEWS BELOW
Week 15 (December 19th) will start our playoffs and Week 18 (January 9th) will start a new league for the NFL playoffs.
Week 15 will start our playoffs and yes EVERYBODY will get to play. In addition to an 8 team championship bracket we are also featuring an 8 team consolation bracket. There is a 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th 15th, and 17th place bracket. That is the way it is done in real life football and basketball tournaments and that is the way we'll do it here. That means EVERY TEAM plays EVERY WEEK, win or lose. You control your own destiny, not the computer software.
Week 18 (Jan. 9th.) Gives everybody a fresh start with the NFL playoffs, so if you are not doing so well in the regular season in the TFL there is a brand new season on the horizon.
Communications: If for some reason you are not staying up to date on things it is possible over the past few months you have changed your league home page by customizing it? Well go back to Customize Page and click on "Commissioner's View". ... ALSO to Get rid of unwanted automated e mails from league, Go to FOR OWNERS>> FRANCHISE SETUP>>CONTACT INFO>> then go to lowest yellow area and unclick all boxes unless you really want them.> then click on SAVE FRANCHISE INFORMATION. It is important you receive emails from me directly, I don't send out junk. Your Inbox will be labeled from "Allen's", Please always accept it.
Other than the problems with the program I suggested earlier called "Gameday" which actually shut some of your guys operating systems down there are also numerous other problems with this pay service I bought this year for you guys and I apologize for their screw-ups. I will not be using their service next year. I could write much better software. Their system is very antiquated with a ton of add ons to it to make it look nice but it just doesn't work as good as even some of the free services out there. At aprx. $60 cost I cannot see using it again for all the trouble we have had with it. I am also keeping all records by hand for the playoffs, just in case of any screw ups done by the software. I have run super-fair leagues since pre-computer days and I will continue to do so. Please always help me by complaining to the "help center" first. Then go ahead and notify me by e mail and never on the message board as it upsets other players usually for no reason. Keep in mind I am low on blood due to my recent medical emergency due to my long term spinal complications. I was actually working every day (outdoor job) until I passed out 12/9. Check for your mistakes first, usually roster maxs and mins. then report to help center, that's what we're paying them for. ALSO Every score has been checked of every game by me personally and so has the seeding and playoff schedules. There will be NO mistakes here.
Again we have $160 in the pot this year and that total amount will be given out in prizes 100% with no charge for the service. I also am donating a $25 NFL t-shirt as usual and about $20 in postage and print outs for frameable certificates. Please always read the league newsletter. The news inside it makes this league what it is.

Monsters are now 9-3. .........................
Where did the time go? We are already approaching week 13!!! Would everyone like to play into February? Your wish is my command. Everyone will play in the playoffs this year. So even if you are in last place now you could still win the Consolation Championship! Our playoffs will start week 15 and finish week 17. .... Then there is a week 18, 19 20 and 21 also! It's the Truetesters Playoff League and everybody here plays. I will also be sending out e mails to everyone here for your vote in the Best Team Name and Logo combination poll. In other news, Mathews Shooters leads the NFL pickems with 121 wins. The Bloodhounds are battling it out with the Iowa Illusion heading into week 13 in the Survivor Pool. The Pumpkins tied the Pecans with a pair of field goals in the Pie Poll. ...............................................................................
Team Rivalries and Scheduling: Do you have a team you really want to play at least once this season? E mail the commish ASAP. Since we have more teams than regular season weeks you might not play every team this season. But get your requests in now, and we'll be sure to do it. Also if you'd like to make suggestions for teams other than yourself, we'd like to hear them. Week 6 will be the last week for byes in our league. The 6 teams who had them will get a double header week near regular seasons end.
Team Names and Logos: You may change them now, add to your home team page etc. We will have have an award for that combo by league voting mid season. So keep that in the back of your mind. The team with the most votes for the best team name and logo combination wins the first Commissioner's Cigar Award of the year.
Roster maximums have been set per position. See Below
Roster expansion is set for September 21st to 8 bench players. You may add 3 more players to your roster after Week 2's games are finished. This will be the final roster expansion of the season if we keep all 17 teams. Waivers will be one extra day longer this week. So if you've been eyeing out a few players you really wanted but didn't have the space, you will now.
Communications
If your computer or internet is down, there's no need to freak. I can set your line up by phone. Make sure everyone writes my (Commissioner Willy's) phone number down. It is listed under my team name many places on the league contact pages. Lambeau Leapers > Main> Daytime/Nighttime Phone. I will be glad to set your rosters for the week, request waivers, whatever. It's no problem. Just leave a detailed message if I'm not there.

WEEK 8 ACTION
MONSTERS COME OUT ON HALLOWEEN
The Monsters of the Midway took control of the TFL this Halloween weekend beating the former first place Bama Bangers 252-142. Coach Tim's Monsters had a very good early start with 159 points at the end of the first of Sundays match ups. The 252 was enough to lead the league this week and score the 2nd highest game of the season so far! (Week 1 Naked Bootleggers 254). Matt Forte and M. Jones-Drew combined for 62 points at RB. Coach Tim got a congratulations phone call from Dick Butkus, but it was collect. WEEK 7 ACTION
Rodgers Pack and Browns Backers triumphant in TFL games of the week. ......................In the Nail-Biter Special, Rodgers Pack took down a very hot ASU Mountaineers team last weekend 181-176. Coach Tom has not played with us since 2006 when his team "Pack '06" compiled a 10-6 record in the Awesome NFC North. The Pack rose early as Jim Caldwell HDC Colts finished with 33 points. The Mountaineers were consistent with their defense again and most other positions but their RB slots suffered miserably and lost them the game. ASU was looking ahead to a 6-1 record to pace the TFL but now share a 5 way lead in the league at 5-2. Rodgers Pack improves to 3-3 in the Gridiron Division. .............................................The hhiBrownsBackers got by another great team, Mike's Violators by the score of 224-199. Just 4 players left in the Survivor Pool entering week 8. hhiBrownsBackers, Matthews Shooters, Iowa illusion and the Bloodhounds. In the NFL Pickems, The Brownsbackers lead with 71 points. ......... A long list of Byes this week again so beware of Ghosts in your Lineup this Halloween, they are the Bengals, Chiefs, Patriots, Steelers, Bucccaneers, and Redskins.
TIPS
1. If you add a player without dropping the same position, make sure you do not exceed the roster position limits. Example: there are 4 RB's and 4 WR's spots allowed maximum. If you mistakenly add a fifth, your whole waiver request will be cancelled. Same thing with trades. Do not offer another team a WR for a QB unless the roster position limits will allow it.
2. Using the "add all of last round" button is the easiest way to use the waiver wire. Just put up everyone you want on round one, then drop the first line when you instate the very next round. Less work for you plus less chance of mistakes in later rounds.
3. To get the latest info on who is the best scorers in our league by position, GO TO: Reports> Players> Top Performers and set parameters of what you want to see.
If you would like to add a tip to this page please e mail the commissioner, all help is appreciated.

Re-Entry Draft Players October 20-24
What is the TFL? and My Fantasy League .com?
This year you are all guests of mine at the pay service of MyfantasyLeague .com by The True Testers Satellite Forum. Please do not confuse "Pay Service" with "Prize Pot". Your prize money of $10 each sent in goes 100% to the pot. The TFL is a long standing league of few different names over the last few years. We currently have a few members left from 2005. All of you have played with us before and are in good standing in my past leagues.
League Setup
It has always been my highest priority in making the entire field of players usable. I've been doing leagues since way before the Commodore 64 days. With pen and paper you can strive and somewhat succeed to get the perfect balance of player positions to score. The perfect fantasy football game has a brilliant balance of equally scoring positions. The best running backs in the game should be equal to the best defensemen, quarterbacks, receivers, kickers, front line, etc. scoring wise. On pre-packaged software services like Fox, ESPN, yahoo etc. you are basically stuck with what they have. The services I bought this year here at Sideline Software (myfantasyleague.com) brings us much closer to reality with these factors. Not as close as you can get with pen and paper but the value of it being more exciting because of the fact that the statistics are instantaneous. So here you will find almost every position in the top 50 scorers for the year!!! And that's even including the coach.
Knowing who to draft: In the recent past starting with ESPN in 2003, the highest scoring players in these leagues I've hosted have always been combination yardage players. This year the domination will not be of any comparison. The combination yardage player will only be slightly favored as well as Quarterbacks. If you know of some running backs who can catch passes also, these are the best to get. Also combination Kick Returner-Wide Receivers & Running back-Kick returners. But The point being IF you draft ANY player or coach who is one of the absolute best in the NFL regardless of position he will be at least a second round pick quality regardless of position. Some even late first round. That is ANY spot on the roster. A top notch Linebacker or Kicker will be just as good to have on your roster as a top notch QB, RB or WR! So keep that in mind when you set up your pre-draft.
Re-Entry Draft: Starts Wednesday October 21st at 6 AM and closes Saturday October 24th at 3PM Eastern, Noon Pacific. There will be 21 players re-entered from a disbanded team, so go ahead and put your waivers in anytime during that period. The results will be displayed on the league page sometime Saturday Afternoon. See player availability list below.

Week 4 Action
BrownsBackers Blast Through The Midway
A powerful performance was displayed on both sides of the line last weeekend as the BrownsBackers waved hhi (correct spelling) to Soldier Field fans, then turned loose on the Monsters of the Midway 207-196. Mike Singletary's 32 points was just not enough for the finest defensive performance in the league this week of 96 points by the Brownies led by D'Qwell Jackson. .................................................. ................... Fourdreams enjoyed the new Florida Lifestyle quite a bit, especially at games end. Monday night Jared Allen turned the lights out on Florida with 39 points at DE. The final score was 220-174. It was Fourdreams best performance of the season so far and the highest of the week. .................................................. ............ Mike's Violators (12-4 last season) lost their undefeated status to the Appalachian State Mountaineers (also 12-4 last year) 164-158. Lovie Smith led ASU with 27. .................................................. ........The Leapers of Lambeau housed the top player of the week for the second week in a row while beating the Hardhittas 171-136. Darren Sharper had 42 at Safety. ............................................... Mathews Shooters speared Duke's Rebels 218-182. Josh Cribbs had 36 for the Shoooters. .................................................. .... The Bama Bangers halted the raid of the Valhalla Vikings 156-133. Eli Manning had 27 pts. for Buck's team. .................................................. .......................................In a game I was watching closely, Rodgers Pack chased off the Bloodhounds 158-152, the closest game of the week here in the TFL. Coach Tom's defensive ends combined for 42, Yes DE's!! ....................... Peyton Manning shined for the Iowa Illusion as they blew past the Naked Bootleggers 186-158. .................................................. ..................... The NFL still has 5 undefeated teams in tact but the TFL just has one undefeated team standing, It's Coach Buck's Bama Bangers at 4-0!! Bama goes to 4Dreams Players Stadium this coming week to face Coach Doug's team. .................................................. ...................... Six players still alive in the Survivor pool as everyone had correct picks this week to stay alive. .................................................. . Mathews Shooters has 45 wins, Fourdreams and BrownsBackers have 44!!! .................................................. ...................................... BYE WEEKS for: Bears, Packers, Saints, Chargers. Some of you guys gotta watch those better!!! .................................Hey Good Luck in Week 5 True Testers!
Week 3 TFL Action
!
Week 1 Results:
The True Testers Football League kicks off with a bang as the Naked Bootleggers (formerly Rip's Redskins) ripped apart Rodger's Pack 254-156. The rout started Thursday night as Cortland Finnegan a Tennesee cornerback, exploded with an 80 yd. interception return, 9 tackles and 2 punt returns, scoring 36 fantasy points! Randy Moss added 26 more as Rip's team is the team to beat so far in the young TFL season. ............................In the closest game of the week our 2007 league champion, Oldfart's Cowboys snuck by the Lambeau Leapers 197.2 to 195.8. The Cowboys had a 65 point lead coming into Monday night's games but the Leapers closed the gap Monday with 6 players on the roster. Darren Sproles scored 37 points in the later game and with 21 seconds left went in for a TD. Score showed a 2 point victory for the Leapers at games end but the Cowboys came out in front Tuesday morning after some statistical adjustments. So everyone make a note of that, If you're close in your score on a game like that, Don't celebrate until Tuesday morning!!!. ........................................................................The Bloodhounds got by FourDreams as Drew Brees not only led the pack with 44 points, he also led the league! . It wasn't enough for Fourdreams though as the Bloodhounds scored an impressive 204 points! They were led by WR DeSean Jackson PHI with 32 and TE Tony Gonzalez's 22. ......................................................................In another super close game that went down to the wire, the Wisconsin Violators slipped by our reigning league champ Mathews Shooters (formerly Popcorn Ready) 191-185. A lot of power in these two teams I noticed as the high scoring lead changed several times in the course of the 5 day weekend. Aaron Schobel DE BUF and Neil Rackers K ARI had 22 pts. apeice for the Violators and Devin Hester plus Sean Payton HDC NOS both scored 24 for Mathews Shooters. ...................................... The BrownsBackers dropped a bragging rights game to the Bama Bangers 190-147 Tom Brady's 28 pts. were not enough for the win. Freddie Jackson RB BUF had 25 for Bama. In other games the Valhalla Vikings beat the ASU Mountaineers 200-155. AP dug in 27 pts. for the Vikes........................................The Monsters of the Midway had the 2nd highest score of the week beating Duke's Rebels 219-114, HDC Andy Reid had 29 there. ...............................................Coach Norm's Storms Fury tossed the Hardhittas ashore 199-159. Greg Jennings had 23 for Norm. .............................................Good Luck next week guys and don't forget to frequent the LEAGUE NEWS PAGE www.17AM.com/freepagestruetesters.htm for all important updates to the league.

League Structure
The league will be divided into 2 conferences with 4 total divisions after the draft. More news on this if we do not receive all prize money in a timely manner.
Depending on the size of league (usually 16 teams) Playoffs will be made by seedings and not by tops of each divisions unless they are the top seeded. You will not actually be competing with your division rivals for playoff spots. You will be playing against the whole league for your spot. The top 8 to 10 teams will make the playoffs for the championship. All the rest of the teams will play in the consolation bracket for a consolation prize. If there is an uneven # of teams at seasons end, the lowest man on the totem pole is out before the playoffs.
Waiver Rules
We are using a packaged waiver rule system on MFL called the "Zealots" package. All waiver requests "lock" every Saturday night and stay locked until Tuesday around midnight (depending on where you live). Then every day after Tuesday is a new beginning and end for waiver request, they process once every night (or early morning) until Saturday rolls around again. Waiver order is shuffled daily at random by the system. Waiver order changes 5 times a week.
MFL (myfantasyleague.com) MAJOR CONTROLS
ATTN: ALL OF YOUR MOST IMPORTANT CONTROLS ARE ON THE VERY TOP OF THE HOME PAGE. A SMALL BAR (which I would like to se much bigger , but have no control over it) ON THIS BAR, YOU WILL SEE "MY LEAGUES. REPORTS, FOR OWNERS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC" EACH ONE OF THESE TABS HAS A ROLL DOWN SCREEN. FOR EXAMPLE UNDER "FOR OWNERS" THERE ARE CONTROLS FOR WAIVERS, TRADES AND DROPPING PLAYERS.
GET YOUR ROSTERS SET BY "FOR OWNERS" , "SUBMIT LINEUP". AND CLICK AND SAVE YOUR BEST 16 MEN FOR STARTERS. Make sure it is saved properly, if a white box comes up and says "LINEUP SUBMITTED" you did it right. Watch that you put the right amount of starters in each position.
Don't forget to run "GAMEDAY" a program for live scoring with live effects.
COMMUNICATIONS
I asked you here because I respect you, There are no unknowns here. Please respect the rest of the league by communicating with them. If someone wants to trade with you answer them, talk to them, BS with them, whatever. But lack of communication is unfriendly. If you do not check in for more than 10 days or so, let us know where you are at. If your computer is down you still have to let us know by calling. I can set your line up by phone. Make sure everyone writes my

Use the live chat room if you do show up late and I'll turn your team back live. I'll say it again this year: I wish we all lived closer together, I'd have plenty of beer and ribs for all of you here at my place during the draft. Good Luck this year crew!
Pre-Draft Instructions
There are many ways at this service to pre-draft, Make sure you do one of them before draft time. The easiest would be this:
Go to: "For Owners" on top of page, then "My draft list", click on that. On the left column under available players you will see the ADP list. You may either select these players one by one by moving them over to the right column, which will read, "my current draft list," OR press the button, "Add all to list." Then adjust any players you want up or down from there. Press "save my draft list."
NEXT: Go to top of page again under "For owners", this time select "live draft room." Go in there, on the left column, under "make a draft pick", in red letters you will see "my draft list." Click that. Also, below that, under "show only" press "ALL." Under "my player list", it should show the exact same list you had on the previous page you were working on called "my draft list". If not go back to the first page and check for errors. Also, in the live draft room, make sure you press the "I'M AWAY" button and leave it there as default until you actually enter the draft room on draft day.
(Comissioner Willy's) phone number down. It is listed under my team name many places on the league contact pages. Lambeau Leapers > Main> Daytime/Nightime Phone. I will be glad to set your rosters for the week, request waivers, whatever. It's no problem. . Information on that page.
