The Philadelphia Church
There were hundreds of these types of churches in Asia Minor around 98AD. Why did the Lord mention the small town of Philadelphia for the example of the sixth of the seven churches mentioned in Revelation chapter 3?
There has been much study done on this subject by many theology scholars who invite the idea of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and others who all mysteriously died on the Date of July 4th in different years of natural causes. The United States of America is most likely the reason Jesus named "Philadelphia" as its example.
God was included in the foundation of that country through these men mentioned and many others who wanted to make a clean break away from the immoral church of the day in England. The country was formed on God. Philadelphia was its first capitol and by far its most gathered city. Formed on brotherly love it was truly the birthplace of America.
