In just four chapters, our Lord reveals to seekers several aspects of Himself. He has a plan for each and every one of us,
His creation. Though we may have to endure much unexplained hardships, the end result can be beyond our dreams, if we don't
lose faith in Him, and keep trying to do the right thing.
He shows us His plan for redemption is not only for His chosen people, but extends it to all who will accept Him as the
one and only sovereign Lord, as Ruth did. He portrays Hesed , a uniquely beautiful blessing of grace and mercy and love
in the lives of Naomi and Ruth. Boaz represents a foreshadowing of the Messiah to come, our dear Savior, Jesus. God shows His love for His people with this
representation of what Messiah will be like. Surely, those who really loved the Lord and knew His Word in their hearts
would have recognized Jesus when He came to walk on earth.
Finally, the repercussions of Naomi and Ruth's faithful, yet a bit daring, actions echo throughout history. Ruth becomes
the matriarch of the lineage of the Messiah! A beautiful, faithful woman not of Jewish descent. Awesome, dear God!
