Chapters 12-18
Chapter 12
12:1-6 "Sunclothed Woman" Signifies God's chosen land and people, Israel.
12:7-17 satan is cast out of heaven and achieves full power over the Earth.
12:14 " A Time and times and a half of time" That is 3 and 1/2 years. The final 42 months of earth. 12:13-17 God shielded the woman "Israel" from satan for the final 42 months in a mother nature type manner. Then satan gave up on the protected and made war with the rest of the earth.
7 heads and 10 horns with crowns atop them is the revised Roman Empire "European Union". An interesting development here in the beginning of the 21st century isn't it? 17:9-16. For a direct description see the notes on 17:7 below.
Chapter 13
13:11-16 "Beast from the Earth" is the final false prophet. He also is granted power for the final 3 1/2 years as the "Beast from the Sea" is. He will be allowed power to try and convince all that the "Beast from the Sea" (politician) is the real and only god. All except for the ones still alive written in the "Book of Life", who are the 12,000 each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Chapter 13:16-18 As stated before, We believe the Bible should be taken as direct and literal as possible. The oldest actual texts should be regarded with more respect than the King James Version. The best way is with an ancient Greek text and translate it into today's English, French, Spanish etc. The oldest Greek Texts available in the world today (pre-KJV times) never mention the word "hand". It says right "side" not "hand". Nor does it mention the number "666". Also, the word "number" is never mentioned, it is either "name" or "symbol" in Greek depending on what line you are reading. An ancient Greek symbol is what John wrote, not a number. The symbol had two swords crossed and another figure that might be confused as a six to the right of it. In Greek at the time it clearly referred to "In the name of Allah" Keep in mind, the words "number" or "calculate" were never written, it clearly said in so many words " determine the name of this figure" So, again in real Greek text "Determine the name of this figure" (the symbol next to these words) is what John wrote. Chapter 14 :1-5 Who are these people? The same who are mentioned in Rev 7:4. See "Who are the 144,000?" link.
Chapter 14 :8 relates directly to 18:1-8. New world commerce, corporate dictatorship. See the "Commerce Link" at the end of your study after chapter 22.
Chapter 14:14-18 The Angel who had power over fire ordered the Angel who was carrying a sharp sickle to "Reap the vine of the Earth" ("Of the Earth" meaning of sinful earthly roots). "For it is ripe with clusters of grapes, ready for harvest". So the Angel did. He threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God, which is Armageddon, the Earth's all time largest war.
Chapter 15 Final leader This is the politician, not the religious leader. He will be the president or leader of the revised Roman Empire. At this state he was already shot and killed, then Satan took over his body. He will demand everyone now worship him as the Lord. He will get the majority of the people to do this because it will look like his resurrection.
Chapter 16
After the final vial is cast there will be only the time left on earth to fight the battle of Armageddon. Some scholars suggest this will be 75 days. See Daniel CH.7
Ch. 17
17:7-16 Many times in the book of Revelation, the term "7 heads and ten horns" appears. 17:7 states in text: "I will tell you the mystery"> The seven heads are the hills around its capitol, which is the city of Rome. The ten horns with the crowns on top signify the ten united countries of the new Roman Empire or the European Union. The true countries in power, not the secondary members. 17:9 The Woman who sits on the seven mountains is the "harlot" also 17:3-6, robed in purple and scarlet with gold and gems signifies the new united church who preaches blasphemy. This is how the anti-christ will attain respect. It will be through the last large and powerful church remaining. She is sitting on the headquarters of the revised Roman Empire.
17:18 The kings of the earth were bad people. The word "earth" or "world" throughout the bible stands for societal ways of the world or earth and not the ways of the Lord.
The Shame of our Church System Today
In the Book of Acts, the Lord himself arranged for the Apostles to set up the ministries far and wide. It was all planned out how he would protect both Peter and Paul. At times he would give them holy powers to perform miracles and start Christianity. He set this up so the church would last through the ages, One religion, one type of church, Christianity. How do you think the Lord feels about this now? It is now tainted with so many divisions of Christianity (churches of different strains) competing against each other for membership and emphasizing their own operations instead of the word of God. Going around the text of prophecy because it isn't a popular or pleasant subject. Cults, some believing in Jesus but changing the text and meanings of the Bible. This is blasphemy against God. Nothing was written in the Bible about all these religions, there is just one, The one he sent the Apostles out to decree.
Ch. 18
Babylon means "the earth" or "of the world" in commerce form. The actual city of Babylon was the center of trade for the majority of earth's time. Babylon was never looked at by the Lord as a fair trade place. God is not against commerce if it is fair like the U S A once was. The word "Babylon" is a general term for unfair trade center. See the "commerce link" after the study.
Ch. 18 A giant universal church. A new church with United Nations type order. It will resemble the Catholic church somewhat in ways explained in text.
